the red sox are won the wild card slot in the american league playoffs last night. the same lowly place where they resided last year at this time; and last year they went on to win the world series. hopeful thought. on the other hand, the last time the red sox won two consecutive world series was 1915-16. that was a long, long time ago.
it was unusually warm tonight. javier and i sat on the river bank at the fire station enjoying the fuzzy fall light as i finished off setting stones into the patio out back, a patio that will host a horde of revelers on the annual halloween parade in white river -- downtown rio blanco. every year the parade ends at the former fire station where i am installing a museum. there is a troll that lives under the bridge. a very very ugly troll. he either ignores or scares the children, but he pays a lot of attention to their dads. what's up with that?
matt came by and stole software from me. in exchange i rubbed his neck. he loves this.
later javier made chicharrones for us for dinner, with garlic cheese tortelloni. españa meets italia. whats the difference between tortellini and tortelloni? i don' know, im just curious.
when i drew one card from the tarot, it was the king of pentangles, reversed. the description was all about old blow-hards whove welched on their debts to me. i cant figure that out. probably, it is part of myself the card referenced. i must remember to query myself further on the subject.
